For months now I have been writing about the Atec Casey pitching machines and many others. This week I want to take a second to talk about the actual pitchers. This blog is for the parents of little leaguers.

Did you know that reconstructive elbow surgeries are way up for pitchers in the major leagues? Well if you did not realize that than it probably would really surprise you to know that the fastest increase to elbow surgeries are in the young kids. These injuries are due to the throwing motion. So, what can you do to prevent this from happening to your kid? There is a gentleman that was a Major league pitcher for 13 years and then got a PHD in physiology who has change the way a pitcher throws the ball and the result is no more elbow injuries. One of his students also played in the majors. The problem is it takes years to master just like the conventional throw motion, but know is teaching the new method because few know about it and even fewer can teach it.
